UNESCO published new list of its World Heritage Sites
UNESCO, a specialized agency of United Nations, has issued a new list of its World Heritage Sites. This list includes a board array of natural and culutral marvels all around the wold. Out of 35 nominations this year, the organization accepted 29 sites covering a wide range of categories.
Among the list are the following: Paraty and Ilha Grand in Brazil, an ancient Burmese capital - Bagan in Myanmar, Bom Jesus do Braga Sanctuary in Portugal, Jaipur city in India, The 20th-century architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright in the US, Hyrcanian Forests in Iran, Babylon in Iraq, Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland, and Historic Center and Khan Palace in Azerbaijan to name just a few.
Today, the World Heritage List presents more than 1,100 architectural, natural, and cultural treasures all around the world.
